32 NEW COVID CASES IN COUNTY SINCE FRIDAY, TRANSMISSION RATE SUBSTANTIAL

By Kevin Zimmermann Aug 2, 2021 | 4:31 PM The impact of the highly-contagious Delta variant of the SARS-CoV-2 virus is unmistakeable in both Sheboygan County and state trends per data released Monday by the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health and the Wisconsin Department of Health Services. Active cases of COVID-19 in Sheboygan County increased by 32 over the weekend, going from 85 cases on Friday to 117 reported on Monday, equaling the number last reported on May 13th of this year.  The 7-day average of new daily confirmed cases has now increased to 15.  14,058 cases in all have been recorded here during the pandemic.  Three of the active cases now require hospitalization.
