Fred Meyer, Winco Drop Mask Requirement for Fully Vaccinated

Fred Meyer, Winco Drop Mask Requirement for Fully Vaccinated It s all about the honor system these days, as more and more businesses begin to update their mask policies across the Treasure Valley and really, across the nation. Recently, two local grocery chains have joined in the movement of NOT requiring masks to enter for those who have been fully vaccinated. The first of these two stores is Winco. The discount and bulk food grocery chain has a large footprint here in the Treasure Valley with several locations all around us. For the bulk (no pun intended) of the pandemic, Winco actually shut down at night something unheard of for the store that is open 24-hours a day and seems to always have a crowd. Now, as things begin to look a little better, masks will not be required for those who are fully vaccinated. As they shared on their Coronavirus Update webpage:

No Mask Needed Update: Two New Grocery Stores Lift Mandate

No Mask Needed Update: Two New Grocery Stores Lift Mandate The face mask mandates have been lifted for fully vaccinated Idahoans and it s like Black Friday all over again. It s so 2010. What does this really mean? I don t think it s important to overthink it. You see the signs everywhere and you should look closely at the fine print. If you re vaccinated there is no need to wear your masks and especially at these to superstores. Fred Meyer and Albertson s have both lifted their mask mandate to unvaccinated customers only. You are asked to wear a mask if you have not been fully vaccinated. Individuals with both vaccines won t be required to wear masks at any of those stores.

Idaho suspect falls from Subway restaurant ceiling with stolen deli meat, police say

IDHAO FALLS Police say a theft suspect in Idaho Falls fell through the ceiling tiles of a local restaurant Tuesday evening while running from officers. The Idaho Falls Police Department was looking for Jesse James Moore, 38, a suspect in two theft cases from earlier that day. The search was a rather unique one, allegedly involving children s bicycles, stolen deli ham, and the suspect locking himself in a women s bathroom in an attempt to escape into the ceiling of a Subway restaurant, according to an affidavit of probable cause. The search began earlier Tuesday when a woman called officers around 6 p.m. saying someone stole her son s BMX bicycle at the skate park on Rollandet Avenue. A man, allegedly wearing a Tyrannosaurus rex T-shirt, came up to her son and asked to buy the $480 bike. The boy declined and when he turned around for a second, the unknown man got onto the bike and rode away.
