21 Deaths as Positivity Rate Doubles

Kenya has recorded 356 new Covid-19 cases from 4,424 tests conducted over the past 24 hours. The positivity rate now stands at 8.0 percent.
In a statement released on Tuesday, May 11, Health CS Mutahi Kagwe announced that the country s cumulative numbers had risen to 163, 976.
From the cases, 329 are Kenyans while 27 are foreigners. 200 are males and 156 are females. The youngest is a two-year-old child while the oldest is 93 years.

Kenya has reported 316 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours pushing the country’s caseload so far to 163,554.
The new cases are from a sample size of 4,251 pushing the number of cumulative tests conducted so far to 1,719,288.

In terms of gender, 204 are males and 112 are females with the youngest patient being a four-month-old infant while the oldest is 89 years.

345 people have tested positive to the disease, from a sample size of 6,686 tested in the last 24 hours. Our positivity rate is at 5.2%.
Total confirmed positive cases are 160,904 and cumulative tests conducted are 1,688,106.
140 patients have recovered from the disease, 82 from Home Based & Isolation Care, while 58 are from various health facilities countrywide. Total recoveries now stand at 109,217 of whom 79,525 are from Home Based Care and Isolation while 29,692 are from various health facilities.
24 deaths have been reported, with one having occurred in 24 hours, 15 on diverse dates within the last one month and 8 are late death reports from facility record audits. This now pushes cumulative fatalities to 2,805.
