CHARLESTON, W.Va. West Virginia’s delegates in the U.S. House of Representatives voted against impeaching President Donald Trump for a second time, as lawmakers on Wednesday approved the impeachment resolution.
The House voted 232-197 to impeach Trump, a week after a mob supporting the president led a violent demonstration at the U.S. Capitol. The resolution charges the president for inciting the insurrection by repeating false statements about widespread voter fraud, including during a speech in front of the White House before the riot.

A review of the transcript of the president’s address reveals that he called for “peaceful demonstrations,” and there was not one syllable about inciting a riot or any violence whatsoever. The Dems wanted history to reflect that Trump is the only “twice impeached president.” If Liz Cheney had any character, she would have reviewed the actual timeline of the events as specified by John Solomon on this excellent website “Just the News.” This entire affair reeks of the kind of “spurious act” which Hermann Goering set up with the infamous Reichstag fire in Germany in 1933. Cheney would to well to study that historical event as it was used to justify to the German people the totalitarian actions which were almost immediately undertaken.
