Free tire disposal event at Lions Park in Apple Valley this weekend
Apple Valley residents can dispose of their tires for free this weekend.
The Apple Valley Tire Drop-off is scheduled to take place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Lions Park on Saturday. Face masks and proof of address will be required of those who attend.
Passenger car and light truck tires will be accepted with a limit of nine tires per load, town officials said in a statement. Rims will not be accepted during the event. Commercial dealers were asked by the town not to attend.
The event will be hosted by the Apple Valley Code Enforcement Department and Burrtec Waste.
