Agonizing, Lorenzana says of COVID experience on Day 2 of quarantine

National Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana (PNA) Lorenzana tested positive for coronavirus and began the mandatory 14-day quarantine for COVID-19 patients on April 6. On Wednesday, he showed the result of his reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test result. In a social media post on Twitter, Lorenzana showed his RT-PCR test result and said: “Yesterday, I got a call that I was COVID-19 positive. Today, I got the official result.” Based on the RT-PCR test, the 72-year old Lorenzana was tested at the Veterans Memorial Medical Center on Tuesday, April 6. The test result showed that “SARS-COV-2 viral RNA,” the causative agent of COVID-19, was present in the sample obtained from Lorenzana.
