Off-contract NRL player Jamil Hopoate hit his partner in the face, spat at her and threatened to “bash” intervening security guards after an argument that began because he didn’t want to leave a club, court documents allege.
The 26-year-old awaits sentencing after pleading guilty to multiple assault and driving charges following the incident with his de facto partner of more than six years, Shae Beathe, at the Panthers Port Macquarie club on December 28, 2020.

A female prison guard has been charged with assault after being accused of choking an inmate at Sydney s Silverwater jail.
Detectives began investigating after a referral from the Silverwater Correctional Complex about the alleged assault of the female prisoner.
The 55-year-old senior corrections officer - who has been suspended from work - was arrested at her home in Mascot on Tuesday.
She was charged with common assault and choking a person without consent and granted conditional bail to appear at the Downing Centre Local Court on July 26.

14th person fined over Shellharbour gathering – COVID update
A 14th person has been issued with a $1000 fine after further investigations into a gathering at a home in Shellharbour at the weekend.
Officers from Lake Illawarra Police District attended the home about 9.40pm Saturday (3 July 2021), responding to reports of visitors at the location. One woman and 12 men, aged between 21 and 30, were issued with Penalty infringement Notices (PINs) for breaching stay at home directions.
Following inquiries, another 30-year-old man was identified today (Monday 5 July 2021), as being at the home; he has now been issued with a $1000 PIN for breaching a stay at home direction.

Ms Christian runs a fan site for the radio presenter and comedian named All My Love , where she has spoken about attending live Fitzy and Wippa shows and described him as very romantic and caring .
The apprehended violence order application said Ms Christian began messaging Wippa on Instagram in August 2019, but the texts weren t threatening and didn t always make sense.
