School-based COVID-19 vaccine clinics continue

LAS VEGAS – The Southern Nevada Health District will begin additional school-based COVID-19 vaccine clinics at several schools throughout the Las Vegas Valley. The clinics are available to Southern Nevadans age 12 and older and the Health District encourages people to bring their eligible family members to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Registration for appointments is available at www.snhd.info/covid-vaccine. Walk-ins may be accepted depending on clinic capacity.

Thursday, July 8 through Saturday, July 10, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Brinley Middle School, 2480 Maverick St., Las Vegas, 89108
New Life Academy, Woodbury
Saint Ambrose Woodbury Catholic School, Woodbury
In order to be added to the Minnesota Department of Health s list, a school must report at least five cases of a student or staff member being inside the building while infectious and within the two-week reporting period, the department said.

If a school goes 28 days with no new cases, they are removed from the list, the department said
The list is updated every Thursday, the department said.
Erin Blore, a 7th grader in Woodbury Middle School, placed in the top five in The Yankee Institute Art Contest within the State of Connecticut for her pastel painting entitled âFalling into Nature.â âErin has a natural ability in all things art, I am so very proud of her and her work,â said her art teacher, Lee Skalkos.
