Essential workers now eligible for vaccines in Ventura County CAMARILLO, Calif. Big news on the vaccine rollout in Ventura County Wednesday. Essential workers are now eligible to get the vaccine several days earlier than expected. “Today is a good day with some good news about vaccine distribution,” said Dr. Cesar Morales, who is the Deputy Superintendent for the Ventura County Office of Education. The vaccine rollout is taking a big step forward in Ventura County. “We have decided to open the next eligible tier,” said Mike Powers, who is the Ventura County CEO. “That next tier includes essential workers across education, food and agriculture, and emergency response personnel.”

Nordhoff High vaccination site has openings for Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays Published: Monday, 22 February 2021 09:28 If you are 65 and older or a healthcare worker, you can sign up for a COVID-19 vaccination. Several vaccine appointments were opened this week for Nordhoff High School 1401 Maricopa Highway, Ojai and other Ventura County sites. Vaccines are being given at Nordhoff High School on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays for at least the next six weeks. To register, log on to: Vaccine appointments with the county can also be made for those needing assistance by calling the vaccine registration phone number at 805-477-7161.  To get a vaccine, people must be 65 years of age or older and resident of Ventura County, or work in Ventura County. People need to take an ID with them to the vaccination site.
