Ventura County District Attorney Erik Nasarenko announced Monday that Oxnard resident Rodolfo Fernandez Franco pled not guilty to charges for multiple sex crimes, including rape, from 2003 and 2020.
Oxnard man released from hospital, arrested for allegedly stabbing wife to death
OXNARD, Calif. - An Oxnard man was released from the hospital Monday afternoon and subsequently arrested in connection to the fatal stabbing of his wife on Friday.
Police said it happened around 9:55 p.m. Friday night. They were dispatched to the 1100 block of West Hemlock Street where they found 27-year-old Karla Cabrera suffering from fatal stab wounds.
She was transported to the hospital where she was determined to have died from her injuries.
Officers said they were told Cabrera s husband had been the one who stabbed her inside her home. He was found hiding under a car in a nearby alley suffering from multiple self-inflicted stab wounds and making suicidal statements.
