Nordhoff High vaccination site has openings for Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays Published: Monday, 22 February 2021 09:28 If you are 65 and older or a healthcare worker, you can sign up for a COVID-19 vaccination. Several vaccine appointments were opened this week for Nordhoff High School 1401 Maricopa Highway, Ojai and other Ventura County sites. Vaccines are being given at Nordhoff High School on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays for at least the next six weeks. To register, log on to: Vaccine appointments with the county can also be made for those needing assistance by calling the vaccine registration phone number at 805-477-7161.  To get a vaccine, people must be 65 years of age or older and resident of Ventura County, or work in Ventura County. People need to take an ID with them to the vaccination site.

The county has received more vaccines from the state, which means appointments are now available. There are appointments open at several Ventura County locations. However, there are no first-dose appointments available as of Feb. 16 at the Ventura County Fairgrounds. 2nd-dose appointment information  After receiving your first dose, you will become eligible for your second dose after a waiting period of 21 days if you received the Pfizer vaccine, and 28 days if you received the Moderna vaccine. You do not need to receive your second dose on the exact date you become eligible. You have a window of six weeks from getting your first dose to receive your second dose. Please do not schedule your second dose earlier than recommended.
