The incident on Friday evening at around 10pm caused damage to the building, which had to be evacuated until an engineer s report confirmed it was safe. Emergency services worked at the scene until the early hours of Saturday morning and roads in the area were closed. Luckily no-one was injured. However, traffic lights at the busy junction of Abbotsbury Road and Newstead Road were also out of action, as the crash resulted in damage to an electricity box containing cables.
