Harley Breer, 51, was taken into custody without incident, police said.
Breer, who has a criminal history that includes convictions for kidnapping and aggravated domestic assault, was on furlough and under the supervision of the Vermont Department of Corrections when the alleged assault occurred April 9.
Breer s uncle, Earle Rogers, 62, of Marshfield, was arrested Tuesday on charges he helped his nephew. He was charged with accessory after the fact and false information to law enforcement. An attorney for Rogers could not be reached Wednesday.
Police allege Rogers allowed Breer to spend several nights with him and that Rogers tried to give Breer money.
