QAnon has found a home in Michigan.
The right-wing conspiracy theory which is rooted in anti-Semitic tropes and revolves around former President Donald Trump hunting down and eventually killing Democratic politicians and wealthy liberals who lead double lives as Satan-worshipping cannibals running a child sex trafficking ring is increasingly spreading from the fringes of the internet to conservative spaces across the state, political leaders and academics say.

A student led protest took place in front of Grand Blanc High School Monday evening to protest the school board member after concerns were raised regarding her support of QAnon, a far-right leaning political movement with unfounded claims.
The protest, which drew about 100 people made up of students and community believes Facchinello follows the QAnon conspiracy based on items he found on the board members social media account. Hartwell told Mid-Michigan NOW he became concerned when he found multiple posts in 2020 related to QAnon on a Twitter account he believes belongs to Facchinello s.

Mack has been having the year he has dreamed of since getting his first PGA debut at the 2021 Genesis Invitational as the recipient of the Charlie Sifford Memorial Exemption for the invitational thanks to Tiger Woods. Now, the Grand Blanc High School alum will bring his game back to Michigan and play in his home states PGA tournament event.
Mack is set to tee it up at this year Rocket Mortgage Classic. Tournament officials announced that Mack has received a sponsor’s exemption to play in the $7.5-million Rocket Mortgage Classic June 28-July 4 at Detroit Golf Club. Mack will be playing for the top prize of $1.35 million.

New teams will hit the streets in Flint and surrounding Genesee County communities in a grassroots effort targeting people in underserved areas to get them signed up for a COVID-19 vaccine.
The teams will target neighborhoods and high-traffic areas, such as stores, with a goal of generating at least 50 enrollments per person, per day, at various vaccination sites, organizers announced Wednesday. This new effort in Flint aligns with what we are seeing nationally. Public health authorities across the country are responding to the challenge of getting COVID-19 shots in arms by shifting efforts away from mass vaccination sites and focusing on communities with lower vaccination rates, said Eli Isaguirre, stakeholder engagement coordinator with the Protect Michigan Commission.
