Untaxed car seized in Wellington following tip off to police POLICE ordered the removal of an untaxed car from a Wellington street following a tip off from a member of the public. Wellington Neighbourhood Policing Team arranged for the seizure of the vehicle in Bagley Road. A spokesperson for the team said: Officers from your Wellington Neighbourhood Policing Team arranged for this vehicle to be removed from Bagley Road, Wellington after a report that it was parked on the road whilst untaxed. You can report a vehicle without tax, insurance or an MOT to the DVLA and the police via the Avon and Somerset Police website.

Criminal damage and anti-social rise in Wellington as lockdown eases

The latest incident yesterday (Thursday) saw young people litter flowers from the beds around a seating area. Officers are pledging to take action against the culprits, who caused the damage between 4pm and 6.30pm. A spokesperson for Wellington Neighbourhood Policing said: In recent weeks as lockdown restrictions have been relaxed there has been an increase in anti-social behaviour and criminal damage in the park, The Basins and in other areas of our town where groups of youths gatherings have caused criminal damage to flower beds, street furniture, shelters and more. Ford Focus abandoned in the middle the road in The Paddocks, Wellington

PEOPLE living in a street in Wellington were bemused when they noticed a car abandoned in the middle of the road. Apart from the fact it was causing an obstruction this morning (Thursday), they naturally wondered what the Ford Focus was doing there. So, a number of residents in The Paddocks contacted the police. Officers attended and discovered the vehicle was untaxed, uninsured and had no registered keeper. They resolved the issue by arranging for the car to be moved. A post on Wellington Neighbourhood Policing Team s Facebook page says: (We) received reports of a vehicle causing an obstruction in The Paddocks, Wellington, this morning.
