Chief medical officer of health, Dr. Nicola Mercer says public health has been preparing since July to deliver the vaccine and that it’ll be one of the largest projects its ever undertaken. A significant part of the plan was ensuring the infrastructure is in place to safely and securely receive and store the vaccine. Some of that infrastructure being vaccine refrigerators and ultra-low freezers for storage, which Public Health has already secured.
