Plans for Campus West car park will be revised by Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council in response to feedback from residents.
In December, the council shared a concept for a two-storey structure that would redistribute parking lost from Campus East when redeveloped into new homes.
They now propose to reduce the structure from two decks to one, after residents shared concerns about the visual impact.
A single deck would deliver 156 parking spaces at Campus West, which is a reduction from the 195 spaces a two decked structure would provide.

A group organising the marshalling at the vaccine hub at the University of Hertfordshire is asking for volunteers.
The Patient Participation Group needs marshals to assist with directing patients, regulating the flow, and helping to ensure the smooth running of the operation in Hatfield.
Volunteers are needed to help out for one or two sessions a week, either 8am to 12.30pm or 1pm to 5pm.
Marshals welcome patients, assist with parking and patient flow to and from the hub, sanitise patients hands before entering the hub and sanitise the chairs once patients have vacated them.

Protection for key employment space in the borough, that could be turned into homes easily under planning rules, are being proposed by Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council.
The council s second Article 4 Direction would cover important sites in the borough like Welwyn Garden City employment area and Hatfield Business Park, including Bishop Square, Beaconsfield Road and Great North Road in Hatfield, and Sopers Road Industrial Estate in Cuffley.
An Article 4 Direction on these sites came into effect in 2020 which removed the rights to convert office space to residential accommodation without planning permission permitted development rights.
We ve tried to find a solution but at the end of the day it s about money, he said.
Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council believes that without major investment, the building is nearing the end of its life - despite the best efforts of Hatfield and District Age Concern (more commonly known as Friendship House).
Under the terms of the existing lease the charity would be responsible for rebuilding the property, but this is unlikely to be financially viable for them.
Options being looked at include the demolition of the existing, aged, building and redevelopment of the site - which could include a modern community facility better able to serve the needs of local residents.

The annual budget has been passed by Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council with an additional verge protection amendment.
At the meeting of the full council on Monday, the Lib Dem group proposed to set aside £25,000 to parking services to protect verges outside normal hours and increase enforcement, which was agreed to by Conservative and Labour councillors.
But a further Lib Dem amendment to increase social housing by setting aside around 200 garages and turning them into homes, and appointing a climate change officer was rejected by both the opposition and controlling group.
