Nine more people have died with coronavirus in Wales and more than 600 new positive cases have been identified, latest figures show.
Covid figures THERE have been 39 new coronavirus cases reported in Hywel Dda health board’s area according to today’s (December 15) figures. Public Health Wales figures show nine new cases of Covid-19 recorded in Pembrokeshire, six in Ceredigion and 24 in Carmarthenshire. No additional deaths have been recorded in Hywel Dda, with the total number of people who have died with coronavirus standing at 147. There has now been a total of 1,375 cases in Pembrokeshire reported throughout the pandemic, 828 in Ceredigion and 4,646 in Carmarthenshire. There were 615 new cases reported across Wales with Public Health Wales recording nine new deaths. Wales now has had a total of 102,568 cases and 2,891 people have died with suspected Covid-19.
The total number of coronavirus cases in the UK has now risen to 1,888,116.

There have been a further 615 cases of coronavirus in Wales, taking the total number of confirmed cases to 102,568.
Public Health Wales reported another nine deaths, taking the total in Wales since the start of the pandemic to 2,891.
The agency said planned maintenance of the NHS Welsh Laboratory Information Management System will affect daily reporting of Covid-19 figures for several days, and the data today is not a true reflection of the picture in Wales.
The latest coronavirus figures for Gwent and Wales GWENT has seen nine more coronavirus deaths confirmed today - the only ones in Wales - making 17 in the past two days, and 545 since the pandemic began, according to Public Health Wales. Latest Covid-19 figures Hywel Dda There have been 216 new coronavirus cases reported in Hywel Dda health board’s area according to today’s (December 11) figures. Public Health Wales figures show 139 new cases of Covid-19 recorded in Carmarthenshire, 47 in Pembrokeshire and 30 in Ceredigion. One more person has died with coronavirus in Hywel Dda, with the total number of people who have died with coronavirus standing at 137. There has now been a total of 1,303 cases in Pembrokeshire reported throughout the pandemic, 796 in Ceredigion and 4,383 in Carmarthenshire. There were 2,234 new cases reported across Wales with Public Health Wales recording 29 new deaths. Wales now has had a total of 98,232 cases and 2,818 people have died with suspected Covid-19.
