Tajikistan undertakes actions that lead to escalation of tensions on border, Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry says
AKIPRESS.COM - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan expressed protest against illegal actions of Tajikistan after containers were put up and a significant amount of military personnel and military vehicles were deployed in undelimited border zone in Unzhu-Bulak area of Chon Alay district of Osh region. The Tajik side breached all earlier reached agreements at the level of governmental delegations for delimitation and demarcation of Kyrgyz-Tajik border, protocols of the working meeting of representatives of the Defense Ministries of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan of May 1 and undertakes provocative actions that will inevitably lead to escalation of situation in border areas of two countries, the Foreign Ministry of Kyrgyzstan said in a statement.
China to hand over 150,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccines more to Kyrgyzstan
AKIPRESS.COM - Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev held bilateral talks with State Councilor and Foreign Minister of China Wang Yi on May 11 in Xian, the Foreign Ministry of Kyrgyzstan said.
Foreign Minister Ruslan Kazakbaev expressed gratitude to the leadership of China for handover of 150,000 doses in March and provision of another assistance to the country in response to COVID-19.
Minister Wang Yi said the government of China made the decision to provide the second batch of 150,000 doses of coronavirus vaccine to Kyrgyzstan as humanitarian assistance.
