COVID-19: Bangladesh Receives 2.5 Million Doses Of Moderna Vaccine From US
Bangladesh has received its first consignment of COVID-19 vaccine, Moderna gifted by the US government. It is yet to receive its second consignment.

The Foreign Ministry of Bangladesh has informed on Saturday that Bangladesh has received its first assignment of Moderna vaccines from the United States. The consignment has been received through the COVAX initiative. This initiative taken by the US government has been first delivered to Bangladesh as a gift.
Concerning the same matter, the US Ambassador to Bangladesh has confirmed the news in a tweet.

Bangladesh Embassy in Beijing celebrated the Birth Centenary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in a befitting manner.
This Day is also being observed as National Children Day. The combination of the Birth Centenary and the Golden Jubilee of the independence, the architect of which is Bangabandhu himself, posited this year s event into a special significance. Bangabandhu visited China in the year 1952 and 1957, which left a long-lasting impression on him, and it is reflected in his sole travel account “the New China in My Eyes”.

Twenty-nine B desh nationals return from Pakistan Karachi jails
Dhaka, Dec 23 (UNI) Twenty-nine Bangladeshi nationals, who were released from Malir and Karachi jails in Sindh province of Pakistan, will be brought back home on Wednesday.
The Foreign Ministry took the initiative to bring them back.
Besides, eight more Bangladeshis, who were released from Malir jail, will return home with the financial assistance of the Foreign Ministry on Thursday.
