Pakistani PM embarks on two-day Sri Lanka visit - World News

2021-02-23 07:35:21 GMT2021-02-23 15:35:21(Beijing Time) Xinhua English ISLAMABAD, Feb. 23 (Xinhua) Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan left for Sri Lanka on Tuesday on a two-day official visit on the invitation of his Sri Lankan counterpart, the Prime Minister Office of Pakistan said. A statement from the prime minister office said that Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Advisor to the Prime Minister on Commerce, Textile, Industry and Production, and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Syed Zulfiqar Abbas Bukhari are accompanying the prime minister. This is Khan s first visit to Sri Lanka after assuming office in August 2018, according to the statement.

Afghanistan- Russian and Pakistani officials Discuss Afghan Peace Process

(MENAFN - Khaama Press) Russian President s Special Envoy for Afghanistan, Zamir Kabulov, on Friday met with Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and exchanged views on the Afghanistan peace process. Zamir Kabulov, Russian Special Envoy for Afghanistan on Friday met with Pakistani Foreign minister, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, both shared views on the Afghan peace process. The Foreign Ministry of Pakistan said in a statement that both Pakistan and Russia have convergence of views on matters of mutual interest including an inclusive political settlement of the conflict in Afghanistan . Pakistani foreign minister reiterated that his country s support to the Afghan peace process, Qureshi highlighted Pakistan s facilitation of the U.S.-Taliban Peace Agreement and subsequent commencement of Intra-Afghan Negotiations, the statement said.
