Newspapers Review: Jordanian foreign minister’s visit to Ramallah focus of dailies
RAMALLAH, Thursday, April 22, 2021 (WAFA) – The visit by the Jordan foreign minister, Ayman Safadi, to Ramallah and his meeting with President Mahmoud Abbas was highlighted on the front page of the three Palestinian Arabic dailies published today.
Al-Hayat al-Jadida daily said the president received the Jordanian foreign minister carrying a message from King Abdullah.
Al-Quds daily said the message dealt with the latest political developments in the region, while the third daily, al-Ayyam, said Jordan has confirmed that the Palestinian cause was and will continue to be the core and that Jerusalem is a red line for Jordan and Palestine.

PALESTINIAN president Mahmoud Abbas has offered his congratulations to his Syrian counterpart Bashar al-Assad on the annual anniversary of Evacuation Day, the day when the last French soldier left Syria at the end of the French mandate on April 17, 1946.
In a telegram, the President expressed his heartfelt wishes on behalf of the people and leadership of Palestine to the brotherly people of Syria.
He also recalled the sacrifices of the Syrian people that led to the independence of the Syrian nation.
