Comments Ireland s Minister for Foreign Affairs Simon Coveney has told an influential group of US Congress members about the mounting tension between the UK and the EU over Brexit.  Coveney and Vice President of the European Commission Maroš Šefčovič addressed the Friends of Ireland Caucus - a bipartisan group including Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Congressman Richard Neal - one week after the British Government took unilateral action to announce the extension of a grace period for agri-food movements between Northern Ireland and the rest of the UK.  Today, Minister @simoncoveney and @EU Commission VP @MarosSefcovic met with the Friends of Ireland Caucus in the US Congress. Taoiseach seeks meeting with CEO of AstraZeneca Updated / Thursday, 11 Mar 2021 20:13 Micheál Martin has sought a meeting with the CEO of AstraZeneca for next week Taoiseach Micheál Martin has sought a meeting with the CEO of AstraZeneca for next week, to discuss the production and supply of Covid-19 vaccines. Earlier in the Dáil, Minister for Heath Stephen Donnelly said AstraZeneca is repeatedly changing its delivery schedules, often at the last minute, and revising down the volumes that it had agreed to deliver . Mr Donnelly said it was unfair for people to accuse the Health Service Executive of missing vaccine targets.
