ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Transparency International on Thursday has released its annual report, showing that the corruption situation in Pakistan has worsened in 2020.
The annual
Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) for 2020 has revealed that persistent corruption is undermining health care systems and contributing to democratic backsliding amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Countries that perform well on the index invest more in health care, are better able to provide universal health coverage and are less likely to violate democratic norms and institutions or the rule of law.

NAB has welcomed the appreciation of Transparency International: statement
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Chairman of Transparency International (TI) Pakistan has stated that due to extraordinary efforts of NAB under the leadership of Honorable Mr. Justice Javed Iqbal, Chairman NAB has recovered Rs. 363 billion in the last two years, a press release by the anti-graft watchdog said on Thursday.
The press release said that NAB has welcomed the appreciation of Transparency International Pakistan and stated that NAB under the leadership of Honorable Mr. Justice Javed Iqbal, Chairman NAB strongly believes in eradication of corruption and brought big fish to justice so that looted money from corrupt elements should be recovered and deposit in the national exchequer.
