Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, December 22) Philippine National Police chief PGen Debold Sinas is expected to “readily” sign and approve the dismissal of Jonel Nuezca, the police officer involved in the ruthless killings in Tarlac, once the formal findings arrive on his table, according to the agency’s spokesperson.
PBGen Ildebrandi Usana told CNN Philippines on Tuesday that the PNP Internal Affairs Service, tasked to facilitate the filing of the administrative case against Nuezca, is already collating the necessary documents and evidence on the crime scene. The formal findings are expected to reach Sinas’ desk “within the week,” he added.

In a statement issued on Monday, Tarlac Bishop Enrique Macaraeg expressed dismay that the killings took place during these holy days preparing for Christmas which makes us bow in shame, guilt, and shock. Murder is wrong any way we look at it. Killing is a sin against God and against humanity. Murder is not only a sin against the killed and their families. It is both a sin and crime that cries out to heaven, he said.
