TOWN OF ULSTER, N.Y. â Town Board members have approved an agreement ending an easement for the Hudson Valley Mall to dump snow on town-owned property at the site of at the former town landfill off Frank Sottile Boulevard.
The easement for using about an acre of property was designated as discontinued on Thursday, Dec. 24, during a video conference board meeting.
âRight across from (the Hudson Valley Mall) is the back end of the town of Ulster transfer station,â Supervisor James Quigley said. âThatâs the parcel that the town . granted an easement to (former mall owners) PCK in 1996 for use as snow storage in the wintertime, and thatâs what prevented the town from doing anything with that site.â
