Investigators believe Turner was slain in her Orange County home, and her body was later moved to the remote location, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
It was not clear on Wednesday how she was killed.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office put out a missing person flier at the time, saying she was last seen at the South Ridge Apartments in the West Oakridge Road area.
Adding to the concern, according to the flier, was that “she had a history of drug use.”
Police in Mount Dora and Clermont are investigating two unrelated shootings that occurred over the weekend.
Police in Mount Dora have identified a suspect in that city’s incident as Ronald “Reggie” Debose and an attempted murder warrant has been issued for his arrest.
He is described as 5-foot-9, a muscular 190 pounds, and believed to be armed with a handgun.
The shooting occurred on Friday in the area of Grant Avenue and Orange Street.
“The male victim was airlifted to Orlando Regional Medical Center,” according to a press release. The department did not release his name.

The accident occurred at 7:28 p.m. when two vehicles collided in the northbound lanes three miles south of the State Road 44 exit, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
A 54-year-old man from Pompano Beach was driving an SUV in the center lane when he entered the inside lane and struck the right rear of a sedan. He then overcorrected and rotated to the outside shoulder where the vehicle overturned and struck a tree. An unrestrained passenger in the vehicle was ejected and suffered fatal injuries.
