UMATILLA – A motorcyclist was killed Friday when a car making a turn onto County Road 42 struck his bike, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The car, driven by an 81-year-old man, was stopped on Big Oak Road and attempted to turn north on CR 42 when his vehicle struck the front of the motorcycle, ejecting the rider. The 68-year-old motorcyclist from Ocklawaha was taken to Advent Health Waterman where he later died of his injuries.
