The country s largest carmaker, Maruti Suzuki, has set an ambitious target to augment production, come next year. According to an ET Now exclusive, after producing a little over 11 lac units in 2020 (till Nov), the automotive giant has set an ambitious target to manufacture 2 million vehicles in 2021.
The company seems to have already informed vendors about the same and asked them to prepare for a bumper year ahead, asked vendors to airlift critical components if the conventional route is taking more time, in light of the ongoing shortage of containers in the industry for auto part imports.
