Legal complications - details of which cannot be shared due to its confidential nature - are delaying business tycoon Vijay Mallya s extradition from the United Kingdom, the UK has told India, according to an External Affairs Ministry letter shared with the Supreme Court on Monday. We are trying our best to (get) Vijay Mallya extradited but, (because of) legal complexities in the UK, status is the same, the government told the court when asked for an update on the extradition of the business tycoon, who is wanted for defaulting on Rs 9,000 crore in loans.

New Delhi, Jan 15: Pradeep Kumar Gyawali, the foreign minister of Nepal will meet with External Affairs Minister, S Jaishankar today.
This is the first face-to-face meeting of the two ministers since the border row between India and Nepal. Gyawali will co-chair the India-Nepal Joint Commission meeting along with Jaishankar.

The talks are taking place under the framework of the Indo-Nepal joint commission meeting. Hinting that border issues won t be discussed, Jaishankar said, let me say that the JCM and boundary talks are separate mechanisms. Pradeep Kumar Gyawali arrived here on Thursday on a three-day visit.
