New Delhi: Disengagement in the remaining areas in eastern Ladakh will take time as both India and China are working out “granular details”, The Print has learnt. But, sources said, India is “satisfied” that it has “achieved” what it wanted in dealing with the “more urgent cases requiring disengagement”, which is at the Pangong Lake area, while talks on residual areas are on.
This comes after the 11th round of Corps Commander meet ended late Friday, and the proposals arrived at there detailing how the disengagement in the remaining areas will occur will now be studied at the highest level of both governments.

The governments of Japan and India are arranging a meeting of their Foreign and Defence Ministers in Tokyo later this month which will be followed by Japan Prime Minister Suga Yoshihide visiting India as part of a two-nation tour that might include the Philippines, reported the Japanese media.
Japan’s Foreign Minister Motegi Toshimitsu and Defence Minister Kishi Nobuo are due to attend. From India, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will take part.
This will be Jaishankar’s second visit to Tokyo in a little over six months and this will be the second two-plus-two meeting between the two countries after the first such interaction here two years ago.

NEW DELHI: US Special Presidential Envoy on Climate Change John Kerry has welcomed India s ambitious goal of generating 450 gigawatts of renewable energy by 2030 and said that Washington will help New Delhi achieve it by helping mobilize international funding.
Rounding up a three-day visit to India on Thursday, Kerry told reporters: That s a terrific goal, we think that s a powerful goal, and we want to make sure that we re facilitating the ability to reach that goal . Kerry said that s part of the partnership that we reached in discussion with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other Indian leaders.

Nepal, April 10 As Nepal scrambles to secure sufficient Covid-19 vaccines, two ministers on Friday asked their Indian counterparts to help expedite their supply.
Foreign Minister Pradeep Gyawali talked to Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar while Health Minister Hridayesh Tripathi had a telephone conversation with Indian Health Minister Harsh Vardhan. He [Gyawali] requested the External Affairs Minister of India for necessary facilitation for the supply of vaccines for Nepal to continue administering the second dose of vaccination for people at the highest risk, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
