Judge Barry Warhit sentenced Martinez in Westchester County Court on April 15. Martinez, 43, must also pay nearly $30,000 in restitution to the victims.
The Westchester County District Attorney s Office announced the sentencing on April 29. In addition to its investigators, the case included help from the police departments in Dobbs Ferry, Rye, Sleepy Hollow, Tarrytown, White Plains, Yonkers and Westchester County.
Martinez pleaded guilty in November 2020 to first-degree robbery, two counts of first-degree burglary and six counts of second-degree burglary, all felonies.
Stefanie DeNise and Steven Vandervelden prosecuted the case.
Robert Schneider, the lawyer for Martinez during this case, had no comment on the sentencing.

A Yonkers man was sentenced in April to 10 years in prison for burglarizing homes around Westchester County in late 2019 and early 2020.
During the holiday crime spree that winter, German Martinez had been accused of swiping cash, jewelry, laptops and other items from several homes after using unwitting cab drivers to take him there.
Martinez had been accused of forcing his way in to some of those homes using a crowbar or breaking a window, as well as threatening one victim with a knife and injuring another victim.

Mount Vernon resident Donald Mack Bennett was arraigned in Westchester County Court on Friday, April 9, where he was charged for unlawfully entered school buildings in communities across Westchester and in some instances, stealing items
Specifically, Bennett was charged with:
Seven counts of burglary;
Two counts of petit larceny.
Westchester County District Attorney Miriam Rocah said that in 2020 and earlier this year, Bennett allegedly illegally entered the Immaculate Heart of Mary School in Scarsdale, Waverly School in Eastchester, Masters School in Dobbs Ferry, and Mercy College in Irvington.
