PUD Request Clears Final Hurdle – Sheridan Media

City of Sheridan Community Development Director Wade Sanner (Photo Ron Richter ©) The Sheridan Ranch Planned Unit Development was given the green light by the City as third reading of ordinance of 2230 was approved by the Sheridan City Council this week. Community Development Director Wade Sanner says the PUD is located at the southeast corner of the intersection of 5th Street and Black Tooth Way. Wade Sanner Homes built in the Sheridan Ranch PUD will be between 1,300 and 1,900 square feet.  All units will have a full-sized finished garage with access onto Tin Cup Circle. Approximately 85 percent of the homes built in the subdivision will be single-story homes.

Craft Rezone Approved on First Reading – Sheridan Media

A request to rezone 1.44 acres of unplatted land located near the intersection of Sheridan Avenue and Avoca Avenue from R-3 Residence District to M-1 Industrial District was approved on first reading Monday night by the Sheridan City Council. Prior to the Council’s approval of the ordinance, Sheridan resident Mark Reid, who lives in the area of the proposed rezone, voiced his disapproval of the rezone and said it conflicts with what’s in the Sheridan Land Use Plan that was adopted by the Council in 2017. Mark Reid Two Councilors, Kristen Jennings and Clint Beaver, voted against the ordinance. Councilman Beaver shared his thoughts on why he opposes the rezone.
