Tony asked me earlier in the week if I thought we could catch one and I replied “of course”. Well, let me tell you that it is not that easy most times. The moon phase here really needs to be right and you really should fish right at the beginning of the outgoing tide to really have a shot. The day before we had only caught a handful of fish but I had a feeling that today we would get lucky! We left the inlet at 9am which is actually a little late as the wahoo bite usually is best at sunrise. We put the baits out right outside Hillsboro inlet with the other fifty boats and began to troll north. As I scanned our spread making sure that everything looked right I was surprised when the long planer rod tripped and the reel began screaming line.
