2 Indian teams in finals of 2021 Microsoft Imagine Cup

The two winning teams Team Detectd from G.H. Raisoni College of Engineering, Nagpur and Team Intelli-Sense from the Vellore Institute of Technology focused on cybersecurity to counter deepfakes (Team Detectd) and assistive technology for people with low vision (Team Intelli-Sense). Microsoft s Imagine Cup is a commitment to create a culture of innovation in students, enabling them to use technology for solving some of the world s most critical social and sustainability problems, Anant Maheshwari, President, Microsoft India, said in a statement.

Winners of KPIT Sparkle 2021 Innovation Contest Announced

Share New Delhi: KPIT Sparkle is an innovation and entrepreneurship platform that encourages students from science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) domains to develop and incubate transformative solutions for automotive and energy industries. The teams with 20 best ideas, shortlisted from over 2,700 entries across India, successfully presented prototypes virtually. Team Nano-Fluid from ICAR-National Dairy Research Institute, Bengaluru, won the platinum award of INR 10 lakhs. Team 3D Printer from the Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering, Pune, won the gold award of INR 5 lakhs. Projects from Team Sand Bird, Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore; KCG College of Technology, Kancheepuram; and Team AI-Air Battery, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras, Chennai; won the silver awards of INR. 2.5 lakh each.
