Fleet Master Chief James “Smitty” Tocorzic is a native of Shinnston, West Virginia and a 1989 graduate of Lincoln High School in Shinnston, West Virginia. He entered the Navy through the Delayed Entry Program and arrived for basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes in December 1989.
Following Recruit Training, Naval Aircrew Candidate School and Aviation Structural Mechanic (AMS) “A” School, he reported to VP-30 in Jacksonville, Florida. 12/26/04 - Off the waist catapults, launches an F-14B Tomcat assigned to Fighter Squadron THREE TWO (VF-32), (Swordsmen,) during flight operations onboard USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75), on Dec. 26, 2004. Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 3 is embarked aboard Truman and is providing close air support and conducting Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions over Iraq. The USS Harry S.
