Wales has recorded one new coronavirus-related death and 91 confirmed cases in the last 48 hours, latest figures show. The data, published by Public Health Wales (PHW) on Monday, May 17, brings the overall number of positive cases since the pandemic began to 212,240. The PHW statistics cover a 48-hour period from 9am on Friday to 9am on Sunday, May 16.
The seven-day infection rate across Wales as a whole now stands at 10.2, based on the number of new infections confirmed per 100,000 population in the week up to May 12, a rise on the 9.5 in the previous figures.

Wales has recorded one new coronavirus-related death and 54 confirmed cases, latest figures show. The data, published by Public Health Wales on Sunday, May 16, brings the overall number of positive cases since the pandemic began to 212,149.
The total number of people to have died with coronavirus in Wales has risen to 5,559.
The seven-day infection rate across Wales as a whole now stands at 9.5, based on the number of new infections confirmed per 100,000 population in the week up to May 10, a rise on the 9 recorded the day before.

Almost half of young adults have received a first coronavirus vaccine in some Welsh health board areas.
In north Wales, 44% of people aged 18-29 have been given a first dose, while in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan 46% have been vaccinated.
An average of 36.6% of people under 30 in Wales have had the jab as the roll-out moves at different speeds across Welsh health boards.
One vaccine centre manager said young people were coming in their droves .
