Richard Warne, 56, of Carisbrooke Road, appeared before the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court on Monday. He admitted three counts of breaching a sexual harm prevention order on January 8. The court heard from prosecutor, Ann Smout, how on November 29, 2017, at the Isle of Wight Crown Court, Warne had been made subject to an indefinite sexual harm prevention order. Mrs Smout said, when police visited his home address unannounced, they inspected all of his internet-enabled devices. She said Warne handed officers a new device an iPhone which he said had not been registered due to the lockdown. Text messages on the device dated back four weeks, but nothing of concern was found on either of his mobile phones.
