“We’ve sold 80 or 90 at least,” he said.
In addition, some people who remembered Alivia handed him donations even if they didn’t want to order a T-shirt.
“She would be happy,” said Moylan. “I think she’s smiling down on us.”
The shirts are selling for $15 each and all proceeds, which amount to $9 for each shirt, will go to the Guardians of Freedom Memorial.
They can be ordered at the Whitestown American Legion Post, 110 Main St., Whitesboro, but the cut-off date is Saturday, April 24, to ensure the T-shirts will be ready by the one-year anniversary of Alivia’s death. A balloon launch in her memory is planned for Sunday, May 23, at the Whitesboro Middle School, according to her father.
