Worthing woman Jacqueline MCurdy coughed at police

Jacqueline McCurdy had been arrested, and while in custody she committed the vile behaviour. The 54-year-old from Worthing admitted assaulting an emergency worker when she appeared in court. Worthing Magistrates’ Court documents noted McCurdy had “coughed in his face, stating she had Covid-19.” The incident happened in Bournemouth in October last year. McCurdy, of Ashacre Lane, Worthing, was spared a prison sentence because she has worked well with the probation service, and prison would mean she would lose her job. She was given an eight-week suspended sentence and told to do 150 hours of unpaid work. The court also ordered her to do 20 rehabilitation sessions with probation and pay a £128 surcharge and £85 costs.

Sussex Police have revealed the identities of those caught putting their own lives and the lives of others at risk on our roads. Among them was a factory manager, a carpenter, a publican and a surveyor. Those who were named in court were: Victoria Phillips Aged 36, a solicitor, of Harecombe Rise, Crowborough, was arrested in Beeches Road, Crowborough, on 25 December and charged with driving with 103mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath in her system.

Former Sussex school teacher in court accused of sexually assaulting boys A RETIRED teacher has appeared in court accused of sexually assaulting boys at the prestigious Salisbury Cathedral School. Piers Le Cheminant faces charges over alleged incidents between 1965 and 1986, including at another school. The 75-year-old appeared at Worthing Magistrates’ Court via videolink on Tuesday afternoon. Le Cheminant, of Spitchwick Manor, Poundsgate, Newton Abbot, Devon, is also accused of indecently assaulting boys at Oakwood Preparatory School in Chichester. He is charged with a total of 15 offences of indecent assault on a boy under the age of 14, according to the lists.
