Police said the incident is believed to have happened sometime between 8 a.m. and 6:45 p.m. on Jan. 13. In a public post on her Facebook page on Jan. 13, Regina Mosley, president of the New London Board of Education, said she came home to a BOE packet on her porch. She said a note had been scrawled on it as well.

Police said they are investigating Wednesday’s incident as a hate crime. The package was left between 8 a.m. and 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday at a home in the area of Vauxhall Street, near the intersections of Ledyard and Briggs streets. Anyone who has information concerning this incident is encouraged to contact the New London Police Department at (860) 447-5269, ext. 0, or anonymous information may be submitted via the New London Tips 411 system by texting NLPDTip plus the information to Tip411 (847411).
