DeLand, FL – Summer camp scholarships are still available for income-eligible children through Volusia County’s Community Assistance Division. You can find the link to the application at volusia.org. If you would like to request a hard copy of the application please contact Jill Marcum at (386) 736-5955 or jmarcum@volusia.org. You can mail or hand-deliver the application to the Community Assistance Division, c/o Jill Marcum at 110 W. Rich Ave., DeLand, FL 32720. Parents and guardians will need to submit the required documents with the application. Please refer to the Volusia County 2021 Summer Camp Important Information for detailed information. Once you’ve submitted the application, you’ll receive a letter from the county telling you what will happen next. Feb 22, 2021 9:21 AM DeLand, FL - Volusia County’s Community Assistance Division is asking the 536 residents on the Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) Program waiting list to be on the lookout for re-application status verification forms being sent out next week Monday, March 1, 2021. The deadline to complete the form and return it to Community Assistance is March 31, 2021. If you don t meet the deadline, you will be removed from the waiting list. Preference will be given to individuals/families with a disabled adult who is homeless or at risk of being homeless. If your household meets the previously stated criteria please submit documentation (i.e. benefit award from Social Security Administration or documentation from a medical professional).
