A Deltona woman who Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood said falsely accused a deputy of unwanted touching is now threatening to sue the sheriff’s office, claiming the unwanted touching and Chitwood s disparaging remarks caused her mental anguish.
Prosecutors declined to charge the woman, Tammy Stuck, but in doing so also stated the deputy did nothing wrong in their view. Chitwood also dismissed her claims when contacted by the News-Journal on Monday.
Tammy Stuck had claimed she suffered unwanted touching from a sheriff’s deputy on April 22 when she was about to enter a Deltona City Commission meeting along with her husband, Jeff Stuck. Tammy Stuck could not be reached for comment on Monday.

It is the nightmare scenario that no community ever wants to experience. The kind of thing we believe could never happen here.
On June 23, 26-year-old Daytona Beach Police Officer Jason Raynor was conducting a patrol near an apartment building at 133 Kingston Ave. around 9 p.m. As shown on video captured by his body camera, he approached a parked car.
Raynorâs voice sounded calm and level as he spoke with the occupant of the car, who stood up as the officer approached. But for some reason, the man â whom police have identified as 29-year-old Othal Wallace â became agitated.
He shot the officer once in the head, less than 30 seconds after the officer first approached him.
