Whatcom vaccinations on track for 70% by June 29, but 37 new COVID-19 cases reported

In a Facebook post, the Whatcom County Health Department says the short answer is yes. HIPAA prohibits covered businesses such as health care providers, health plans and health care clearinghouses from disclosing your health information improperly, but does not apply to all businesses. The Department said HIPAA does not prevent businesses from asking you for your health information.
