RAPID CITY, S.D. A free, two-day, COVID-19 vaccine community event kicked off Tuesday near Rapid City Central High School at the intersection of Omaha Street and Mount Rushmore Road.
The event is hosted by the Oyate Health Center, Rapid City Indian Health Services, and FEMA – or the Federal Emergency Management Agency with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
Anyone 12-years-of-age and older is eligible.

The first large COVID-19 vaccination clinic specifically targeted to agricultural workers in Santa Cruz County will be held today (WED) at Casserly Hall in Watsonville.
The plan is to vaccinate approximately 1,000 local agricultural workers over two days, according to Dignity Health, one of the event sponsors.
Dignity said that one goal is “helping to create 1,000 new ambassadors within the farm worker community who can speak to the benefits of the COVID-19 vaccine.”
The clinic is a partnership between Dignity Health Dominican Hospital, the Santa Cruz County Farm Bureau, and the California Strawberry Commission.
