Police are appealing for information after a series of thefts from cars in Doreen on Sunday.
Police from Whittlesea Crime Investigation Unit said cars containing tools were mainly targeted in the break-ins.
The majority of the thefts occurred between 11.15pm and midnight in the Vaucluse, Riverstone, Plenty River and Ivy Estates in Doreen, police said.
A white Mitsubishi SUV and a silver Mercedes Benz sedan were observed in the area at the time, according to police.
Anybody with CCTV or Dash cam footage is asked to contact Detective Acting Sergeant Cotter at Whittlesea CIU Vehicle Crime Team on 9407 3350.
