Sindh left with 10-12 days water: minister

July 7, 2021 KARACHI: Sindh Irrigation Minister Sohail Anwar Siyal has claimed the water crisis in the province is getting worse as the province has been left with insufficient quantity of water that could last for just 10 to 12 days more. Speaking at a press conference here on Tuesday, Siyal said the water crisis in the province would further aggravate if monsoon rains did not occur in this season. He said the worsening situation of water crisis could create drought-like conditions in Sindh, as canals are drying up while rivers have also not been receiving the required quantity of water. He said cultivation in the province was badly affected, as Sindh had been getting 21 per cent less water than its due share.
