In a special meeting this week, trustees of Sheridan County School District 1 approved the request of a student that he be allowed to graduate early. District 1 Superintendent Pete Kilbride said the student is currently a junior in high school and is seeking to graduate a year early. Trustees discussed the request in an executive session, then returned to open meeting to vote approval. Kilbride said the student plans to take some classes online and other classes through Sheridan College that will count toward high school graduation requirements. If he does that, Kilbride said, by the end of summer, he will have earned the 24 credits required for high school graduation.
