The City of Sheridan will be holding two upcoming public meetings to garner public feedback on the option to allow Accessory Dwelling Units in areas of the City zoned R-1 Residential. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
City to Hold Two Public Meetings on Accessory Dwelling Units
An accessory dwelling unit, or ADU, is defined as a residential living unit that is detached from a single-family dwelling that provides independent living facilities for one or more persons, which include a separate entrance, kitchen, bathroom, and sleeping facilities, located on the same lot as the primary single-family residence. ADU’s are also sometimes referred to as Granny Flats, Mother-in-Law Apartments, carriage houses, or guest houses. The City is seeking public input on possibly allowing ADU’s on property zoned R-1 Residential and will hold two public meetings over the next week, the first being Thursday at 5:30 pm at the Roc
