SHERIDAN The Auxiliary for the Sheridan Veterans of Foreign Wars 6390 will hold a meeting Monday at 6:30 p.m., in the dining room of the post located at 2556 Route 20.
Installation of officers for the upcoming year will be presided over by past president, Romaine Hohenstein. Refreshments will be served following the meeting and ceremony. All members are encouraged to attend. Collection of items for donation to the VA hospital continues through the middle of this month and can be dropped off at the post or the home of president Bigler. Coupons for Support Our Troops are always welcomed and are sent in regularly.

A recent spaghetti dinner hosted by Boy Scout Troop 262 raised $1,000.
The group which is multi-level was formed in September and is hosted out of the Sheridan Veterans of Foreign Wars location on Route 20. “The boys got there at 10 a.m. and started prepping, they baked brownies on Saturday to prepare for Sunday and then they prepared the kitchen and worked in the kitchen,” Merit Badge Counselor Kathryn Moore stated of the event held earlier this month. “This was part of their cooking for their badges. We sold dinners from 2 to 6 p.m.”
